I am hoping to open a small hire shop, which would be the best way to raise capital, is leasing veichles best?

I am hoping to open my own business as have managed similar business for many years and feel it is a good time to start alone though I would appreciate advice on best forms of raising capital, pitfalls and best way of acquiring veichles. Thank you.

If you need to ask in here, your business venture will fail… you need a serious business plan… and should have seriously researched the trade you’re entering, long ago!
I suggest you go to evening classes or a day release class on setting up the small business, long before you shell out any money… and never ask blindly on the net again!

Well I was trying to start a small prestige hire company and checked up on the different forms of asset finance e.g contract hire/purchase, outright purchase. Depending on what it is you wanna do, the size of the business, and who you are appealing to, you should consider a contract with a major firm. That way you put down small amounts and then pay monthly, for a fixed period, after which you can either pay a lump sum for the vehicle or use the car as a part exchange for new ones. This way there are hardly any maintaince costs.
